Following the successful LA event in early October, the long anticipated Footwear Innovation Summit (FIS) Shenzhen was held on November 15th and 16th at Crowne Plaza Hotel Longgang, inside the Dragon Garden, which seats 300 people and features a high resolution full size screen and two unique side screens.
Why FIS Shenzhen?
On a sunny Thursday, footwear professionals flocked to Crowne Plaza Hotel Longgang, many have traveled from key footwear supply chain cities like Dongguan, Jinjiang and Wenzhou, while others flew internationally from North America, EU & Southeast Asia. They all came to learn the latest technology and innovation across footwear creation, manufacturing and retail.
As a footwear innovation platform, FMNII takes all the efforts and organizes the FIS to promote Digital Transformation and Sustainable Sourcing for the industry. To fill in the gap between different sectors of the industry in this disruptively evolving era, FIS is one of the key channels to connect footwear brands and manufacturers to global technology innovators.
As an event that took place in the global center for high-tech and innovation, FIS Shenzhen sought to bridge the gap between the east and the west. Meanwhile, as KPMG China Technology Director Patrick Kirby pointed out in his outstanding presentation on Consumer Insights, the west can also take a look at the advances in technology that Asia based companies and manufacturers have developed.
Therefore, by gathering global professionals at an industry event like FIS Shenzhen, FMNII Team strives to accomplish its mission to advance the footwear industry.

The industry has come to the point that sustainability becomes a critical matter which everyone in the industry should focus.
