“FMNII Seminar- Footwear Knitting ” successfully held in Vietnam on March 6th 2018!
Among the 330 participants in the seminar, there were participants from over 40 shoe brands (including Adidas, Caleres, Coach, Converse, Crocs, Lands End, Puma, Shoefabrik, Salomon) and over 45 shoe factories (Yue Yuen, Qing Lu, Chang, Diamond, Xiang Xin Fort, Nangang, Large Coffee).
The seminar was jointly organized by Guangdong FMNII Internet Technology Inc. and CX-Steiger Research branch at Vietnam, with strategic support from CTI Testing International Group.
CX Group is a leading solution provider of smart flat knitting machines, with a global sales of 200,000 units of flat knitting machine. The company has an research and development team in Switzerland that focuses on machinery and structure development, as well as a control system and software development team in Italy. As a result, CX Group sets the first national standard for computer operated flat knitting machines, with more than 900 patents.
As a result, numerous brand representative were attracted to the seminar in Vietnam. The planned number of attendees was 200 participants. However, more than 330 participants have showed up to the event. Many more brand representatives were signing up for the seminar an hour before the start of the seminar. Due to over occupancy, we respectfully declined and apologized to the later group of participants. In addition to local brands and shoe factories representatives in Vietnam, many attendees flew to Vietnam from the mainland to participate in the seminar.
The seminar did not disappoint, as the participants received a sincere and fulfilling industrial seminar.
The seminar officially starts at 1:30 PM on March 6th, but participants were already lining up to enter the venue at 11AM. At 12 AM, there is already a long check in line, and the venue was backed at the official starting time.
Jackie Yang, founder of FMNII Inc. was the host of the event, he warmed up the atmosphere of the event with his relaxed and humorous manner.
James Gau, the co-founder of FMNII Inc. took up the task of simultaneous translation to ensure that every guest grasp the knowledge shared in the event.
Technical Guidance on Upper Knitting Design
Mr. Shu Yang is the head of CX’s upper knitting R&D department with more than 10 years experience in flat knitting machine development. Mr. Yang began the seminar by sharing knowledge on trending knitting technology, applications of such technology onto products, addressing the designers’ most concerned question– how to use knitting technology to design excellent products.
Key Elements of Quality Control on Knitted Upper
Then, Ms. Teresa Zhou, representing CTI Testing International Group, shared the key elements of quality control on products with knitted upper, from product quality assurance and product testing. The focus of the seminar is on knitted upper testing methods and industrial standards. The attendees were absorbed into the content of the seminar, afraid to miss any of the knowledge shared. The participants’ feedbacks on Ms. Zhou’s speech are full of praises, stating that the speech is a major spotlight in the seminar, fully reflecting CTI’s leadership and professionalism in the field of testing and certification field!
The Future of Upper Kiting Technology
Mr. Pierre Yves Bonvin of Steiger (global leading brand in flat knitting machine, wholly owned by CX Holding Company) made a special trip from Switzerland to Vietnam to share the global view on how flat knitting machine knitting technology is currently used in different industry (including the medical profession, the fashion industry, automobile industry, aviation, and more), and its future development trends and spotlights. He concluded his speech on the endless possibilities of flat knitting in the footwear industry.
Knitting Innovation II – Automation
Coming up next is Mr. James Li, who is the Vice President overseeing CX’s robotic technology development. Mr. Li combines Cixing’s professionalism in automation and research findings in the industry, to explain the advantage and future of combining automation with knitting technology. Mr. Li gave examples of impressive robotic arms, visual identification, automatic adhesive spraying, intelligent storage and a series of advanced yet reliable solution to automating the entire footwear manufacturing industry.
Knitting Machine Brand – New Product Launch
The seminar ended with a product launch of CX’s Latest model of Upper Knitting Machines, which was hosted by Mr. Zhou Yu, whom is responsible for overseas business development at Ci Xing. The new products consisted of four machines for different purposes, bringing together all of the main points and technology mentioned above to help brand and factory solve their urgent design and technical needs. The product provides innovative solution with high efficiency and low cost, as well as meeting the demand of the vast majority of fly woven products.
The launch has initiated a passionate discussion in the audience.
The seminars came to an end at 6 PM, and we have provided the guest with elaborate dinner buffet and live band performances. The guests greeted each other in the warm and harmonious atmosphere, with new and old friends.
